Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of SAACS will be held at 17:30 on Thursday 24 November 2011.
The AGM will be followed by a screening of Five Roads to Freedom: From Apartheid to World Cup, a 52 minute documentary by Robin Benger and Jane Thandi Lipman.
This event is open to all who have an interest in Canadian Studies, as well as members of SAACS.

About SAACS
The South African Association of Canadian Studies (SAACS) is a voluntary, non-profit, interdisciplinary academic organisation. Currently based at the Centre for Open Learning at the Centre for Higher Education Development at the University of Cape Town, it seeks to promote public interest in Canadian Studies, to explore topics of mutual interest to Canadians and South Africans and to support teaching, research and publication related to Canadian Studies in South Africa.
SAACS was launched in November 2005 with a keynote address to several hundred people by eminent Canadian John Ralston Saul. Other lectures and events have also drawn interest. The inaugural AGM was held on November 21 2006.
